Senior Industry Executive Forums: Large Business & Small Business

The SIEFs are an opportunity for USSOCOM to discuss with industry leaders how USSOCOM and industry can collaborate more closely to provide Special Operations Forces around the world with the capabilities and support they need. Pre-approved small and large business industry CEOs, COOs, and Presidents are invited to participate. The large business SIEF will take place on Tuesday, May 21, 1:00 – 2:00 pm and is for companies with defense related revenue of $10 million or more. The small business SIEF will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 10:00 – 11:00 am and is for companies that have $10 million or less in defense related revenue.

Registration is limited for the events as one of the benefits is the intimate atmosphere of the session. There is a 1-2 person per company limit. Advanced registration is required. More information can be found here.

Operation SOFtalk

NDIA will be hosting Operation SOFtalk, a networking reception Wednesday evening. This event is a great opportunity for attendees to engage with USSOCOM in an informal environment. This includes access to some of USSOCOM’s senior leaders and acquisition, technology, and logistics experts to facilitate further discussions outside the conference.

Policies

Harassment Policy

NDIA is committed to providing a professional environment free from physical, psychological and verbal harassment. NDIA will not tolerate harassment of any kind, including but not limited to harassment based on ethnicity, religion, disability, physical appearance, gender, or sexual orientation. This policy applies to all participants and attendees at NDIA conferences, meetings, and events. Harassment includes offensive gestures and verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, inappropriate photography and recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome attention. Participants requested to cease harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately, and failure will serve as grounds for revoking access to the NDIA event.

Bag Policy

The safety of all SOFIC registrants is of the highest importance. When entering the Tampa Convention Center, SOFIC will have security measures to ensure the safety of all conference attendees. Upon arrival, security personnel will conduct a thorough but speedy hand-check of all large bags and containers.

Firearms Policy

No personal firearms or ammunition will be permitted at 2019 SOFIC. This includes ALL EVENTS, including in the Tampa Convention Center and off-site venues. The only firearms allowed in the Convention Center during the event must belong to Law Enforcement Officers or be on display by exhibitors whose firing pins have been removed and have been inspected. NOTE: Any person licensed by the state of Florida to carry a concealed weapon is hereby notified that they shall not carry their firearm during 2019 SOFIC.

Badge Policy

By registering for SOFIC, you understand that badge sharing is prohibited. Badge sharing means lending your badge to someone else or using someone else’s badge to gain access to any SOFIC event. Any lost or stolen badges are subject to a reprint fee of $100. Replacement fees are non-refundable.

WARNING: Several SOFIC exhibitors and others have received emails or phone calls from third parties claiming to have a copy of the 2019 SOFIC attendee list and offering to sell it. These offers are not legitimate. Other than USSOCOM, NDIA does not share the SOFIC attendee list with anyone. List scams are common in the trade show industry generally. Please do not fall victim. If you receive an email or voicemail from someone claiming to have a copy of the SOFIC attendee list, we would appreciate if you would forward it to Kimberly Williams at kwilliams@ndia.org.
